7 MBA programmes

 

 

Ipag international MBA programmes in Paris offer a unique opportunity for students and professionals to learn and enrich their knowledge in the fields of business and management in today’s dynamic and competitive world. This programme suits students and professionals who either already enjoy general knowledge in business or intend to start and pursue their career in business and management. The programmes, all taught in English, give students and professionals a broader understanding of general business concepts and concrete practices, while focusing on particular aspects, sectors and geographical zones.

 

The one full-year academic programme includes two days of taught courses, on Fridays (all day) and on Saturdays (all morning and afternoon), thus enabling students to start or continue their professional commitments and activities throughout the week.

 

The programmes include two types of courses: core courses and specialization courses. The core courses, accumulating 25 ECTS credits, help students develop their knowledge and understanding in general business and management as a prelude to in-depth interest in fields of interest. The core courses include both intensive theory concepts and pragmatic experiences, enriched with a vision of global business practices and strategies.

 

The specialization courses, accumulating 15 ECTS credits, provide students with detailed education and skills in fields pertaining to business and management interests and priorities. The courses make use of actual business settings and case studies, with strategies to deal with initiatives and arising issues.

 

All courses are offered by reputed professors and by qualified professionals in their respective fields.

 

Admission procedure

The admission procedure to the MBA programmes is as follows :

  • Review of candidate’s completed application and required documents.
  • Individual interview in English, intended to establish the candidate’s motivation for applying, to assess the relevance of this programme in terms of the candidate’s career plans, as well as to evaluate the candidate’s language level. The interview will take approximately 30 minutes, conducted in the form of a professional job interview.

 

Required level of English

Students need to present an official TOEFL transcript (Paper-based test 550 points, Computer-based test 210 points, Internet-based test 77 points), or an IELTS score of 6.0. Exempted from the TOEFL score requirement are students whose native language is English, or students whose main language of instruction at university was in English, or students who graduated from a high school where English was the main language of instruction. Students who do not meet the TOEFL or IELTS score requirements may be requested to follow additional intensive English courses along with their program studies.


Academic Admission Requirements

 

4-year university (or post-secondary) degree, or Master 1 degree, or a 3-year university (or post-secondary) degree with at least 2 years of professional experience, or 240 credits of the European Credit Transfer and Accumulation System (ECTS).


Graduation requirements

 

To obtain their Master in Business Administration (MBA) degree, students are required to attend class courses (minimum attendance record of 90%), present certain course assignments, and pass with success the final exams.

 

Students may choose between presenting as well as defending a dissertation (of 80-120 pages not including annexes), or completing an internship in a company (of minimum 3 months) and presenting as well as defending a final internship report (of 30 pages). Either one of the two options accumulates 20 ECTS credits. Upon graduation, the programmes entitle the students to 60 ECTS credits.

 

Courses are from October to March, exams are held at the end of March, and dissertations or internships should be completed by mid July.
